MS 1200 – Higher performance and faster yield times
With our innovative MS 1200 fluid mixing system TERRA has set the standards for efficiency in the horizontal directional drilling industry. It was designed to provide highest performance and efficiency at low costs. Powered by a proven HONDA mixing pump it offers up to 1200 ltr/min (320 gpm) of drilling fluid. A second feeding pump offers a flow rate to your TERRA-JET of 700 ltr/min. It is equipped with a 4000 ltr (1050 gal) tank for maximum fluid capacity. Optionally TERRA even overs a second tank for higher mud capacity. The MS 1200 supports horizontal directional drilling systems of all sizes.
HONDA pump with 1200 ltr/min (320 gpm)
The trash pump with HONDA petrol engine pumps the water with 1200 ltr/min (320 gpm) and mixes the Bentonit into the drilling fluid. A second bentonite feeding pump with a flow rate of 700 ltr/min pumps the bentonite to your TERRA-JET. The exit of the mixing station has a Storz coupling KA 66 mm (2.6″) for a firehose. This firehose to the TERRA-JET can be up to 60 m (200 ft) long.
Funnel with underpressure (Venturi system)
The big funnel with cutting knife makes your HDD live easier on the jobsite. The cutting knife in the funnel opens the bentonite bags. A 25 kg (55 lbs) bag of bentonite can be placed besides the funnel. Due to the venturi pipe there is a underpressure in the whole system. The bentonite is sucked into the mixing unit which provides a reliable mixing.
Mixing tanks range from 4000 ltr (1050 gal) to 8000 ltr (2110 gal)
The MS 1200 is standardly equipped with two 4000 ltr (1050 gal) tanks. Both tanks have integrated a special bottom flushing system. It prevents that the bentonite settles down at the bottom. It is fed from the top and can be opened with this regulation valve.
Cleaning
Next to the dunnel is a cleaning pipe with hose. It cleans the injector if it gets stuck.
