Mixing station MS 850e – electrical driven pump
The MS 850e fluid mixing system is designed to provide highest performance and efficiency at low costs. Powered by a proven mixing and feeding pump with special seals for the Bentonite, it offers up to 850 ltr/min of drilling fluid. The MS 850e supports horizontal directional drilling systems of all sizes.
Bentonite and fresh water tank
The MS 850e has a very compact design. It can be installed easily on a truck without taking too much space. The mixing station can be equipped with one or two tanks. The first tank is for the bentonite. The second tanc is for fresh water. TERRA offers 2’000 ltr and 3’000 ltr tanks.
Funnel with underpressure (Venturi hopper)
The big funnel with cutting knife makes your HDD live easier on the jobsite. The cutting knife in the funnel opens the Bentonite bags. A 25 kg bag of Bentonite can be placed besides the funnel. Due to the venturi pipe there is an underpressure in the whole system. The Bentonite is sucked into the mixing unit which provides a reliable mixing.
Electrical driven pump
The MS 850e is electrical driven. The mixing and feeding pump requires 5.5 HP (4 kW). TERRA recommends a Diesel Power Generator with 15-20 kVA. The electrical pump is quiet and environmentally friendly. A special switch allows starting of the electrical engine smooth and silent.
